New in town or new to Salt Marsh Opera?     Want to be involved?

You’ll find warm friends and a warm welcome here.

Salt Marsh Opera was formed in 2000 by twelve friends who relish opera and the idea of serving up first-class productions to their Southeastern Connecticut and Southern Rhode Island neighbors―and our audience and artists, volunteers and supporters make it happen! Together, they create the alchemy that infuses cherished stories with glorious singing and music by beloved masters like Mozart, Puccini and Strauss.

Through our in-school programs, youngsters, the cultural arts stewards of tomorrow, discover many pathways to a creative career as well as an abiding fondness for opera and the performing arts. Likeminded organizations partner with us to infuse opera spirit well beyond our doors, while adults explore opportunities for learning, making new connections and paying their delight forward. And underlying all we do is commitment to heightening appreciation for the performing arts, welcoming new enthusiasts and ensuring artistic culture thrives in our communities.
